There are various boatbuilders locally who will repair and maintain Lapwings, or even build a new one.

David Copp is a local boatbuilder who specialises in the maintenance, repair and restoration of Lapwings. His website has pictures of Lapwings he has worked on.
Brian Upson at Slaughden will maintain your Lapwing, conduct an emergency repair or even build you a new Lapwing entirely. He has the moulds and, currently, a stock of wood. His phone number is 01728 453047.
Peter Wilson at the Aldeburgh Boat Yard has great experience of building and maintaining Lapwings. He was a Junior Lapwing sailor in the 1950s. His phone number is 01728 452019.
Events

The Aldeburgh Classic Boat Festival is now an established event at Aldeburgh. In 2018 it will be held on the weekend of 16-17 June.
The Bosham Classic Boat Revival Weekend is a great event for all classic boat sailors, and in 2015 and 2016 two Aldeburgh Lapwings raced there, with some success.
Other classes of boats
The Waldringfield Dragonfly is based on the Deben and is a slightly larger clinker dinghy designed in the same era as the Lapwing.
The Wivenhoe One Design is an Essex-based 75 year old clinker day boat with an active Class Association.
The Brightlingsea One Design is a clinker day boat designed in 1927 and raced very competitively in Essex.
The Axe One Design is a Devon-based 12" clinker dinghy, designed in the same era as the Lapwing.
The Fowey River Boats in Cornwall were almost extinct but in the last 20 years have come back to life, with over 20 new boats built and many old ones restored and actively sailed again. They have distinctive multi-coloured sails. Their Facebook page has great pictures.
